A 384th Bombardment Group Museum organised event - come with us on a guided tour of the airside sections of the airfield. This is a unique glimpse into this area of the former airfield as it now sits exclusivley on private land with access strictly controlled. Expect to see the remains of the three main runways, taxiways, areas of both bomb dumps and also a couple of aircraft hardstand points. Our knowledgeable guides will fill the time with information on the operations of the airfield, along with some stories of the personnel who served here. Walk meets at 9.30am, commences at 10am and should be finished around 1pm. The distance for this walk is approximately 4 miles. Pre-booking essential.
