Open Days & Guided Walks
The Museum has now settled into a pattern of hosting monthly guided walks, with the Visitor Centre and Museum Site also being open to the public on the same date.
Our monthly guided walks alternate between our 'Airside' walk, or our 'Communal Sites' walk. The airside covers everything operational with regards to missions - runways, taxiways, dispersal areas and the bomb dumps, whilst the communal areas give an intriguing insight into how the many lived - we take a look at the Officer's Club, Foxy Theater and finish at the Museum site.
Join us for a walk, or simply come along an visit us on our Open Days - you can expect to learn about the history of the airfield, get an insight into the Boeing B-17's operated by the 384th, and get to read the stories of some of the personnel that made the missions happen.
We also offer a range of hot and cold drinks, cake and snacks in our Cafe area.
We are open between 10am and 3pm, entry is free but we would love you to support the project by leaving a donation (assuming you've enjoyed your visit of course!). For guided walk and open day dates, please check our 'Events' page.
